Bar Cart & Table Top Setting Details

Jingle Bell Stir Sticks // Sugar Paper Company has the most adorable holiday decor and bar cart finishes at Target each holiday season. I grabbed these adorable bell stir sticks for cocktails to place on my holiday bar cart and love that theyโ€™re a real jingle bell!

Gold Bow Napkin Rings // I also picked up these gold bow napkin rings from Sugar Paper Co. that could be used year round. I have a lot of accents with gold throughout our space so these were the perfect touch for the plaid napkins I put together for our table setting.

These place card holders would also be perfect for a more formal gathering and are match with the cocktail stir sticks!

Marble Coasters// These are a favorite of mine that also make a great hostess gift.

Mini Tree ๐ŸŒฒ Target they come in 3 different sizes small fits perfect into the mugs and I did this as a gift for a few friends this year. Now is the time to stock up and theyโ€™re great for thin fireplace mantles or window sills.

Bottle Brush Trees// pink one was old from Target dollar section and the green and white ombrรฉ is Pier One.

Ceramic House// I love these ! Perfect for winter vignettes and glow with a tea light inside. All of mine are from Target but Michaels and Hobby Lobby also sell similar.

My mug is old from Anthropologie but this year I found a cute plaid print mug I gifted from Pottery Barn. Theyโ€™re marked down to $5 right now!

Home Decor for the Holidays

This is a super long post but Iโ€™ve rounded up so many items that are marked down for end of the season and could easily be used next year or saved for gifts!

IMG_2226.JPEG

I often will use Bath and Body Works as my go to for candles to make the place smell festive along with hand soaps. Lately Iโ€™ve been finding some of my favorite home candles from TjMaxx or Marshalls. This is also where I found so much of my holiday decor like the reindeer stocking holders, stockings, trees. A lot of the terrariums I use on my window sill and shelves are from Hobby Lobby.

I had shared some of my favorite home decor pieces in this blog post. I had grabbed a few neutral pillows for winter from Pottery Barn & the golden snow flake one is from Michaels. Target also has this cute option. I usually opt for pillow covers that way I can interchange between seasons and not have to store a bunch of plush pillows. I found mine at Pottery Barn on sale.

Right now is the best time to snag any holiday decorations since much of it is on clearance!

Target has up to 70% off and Homegoods / TjMaxx also has 50% off all holiday too. I usually stock up on wrapping paper, gift bags, and house warming gifts. Other great finds on sale are the ornament and wreath storage boxes to store it all away.

I usually leave most of our decor up through the new year since we travel over the holiday and want to enjoy it for a few more days.  My favorite piece is our monogrammed mirror friends designed for us from our wedding. I love how it fit seamlessly into the space and is so personal to us!

Stocking Holders & Stockings// TJMaxx Then I found this silver style on sale at Pier 1! Perfect gift for newly weds or new home owners for next season too.

Our Treeโ€™s ribbon is from Shop Hello Holidays and it is the best quality! I had heard another blogger, Emily Ann Gemma rave about it so I caved and got some of the rolls on sale. They sell out quick but I know Iโ€™ll have it for years and it really adds a great touch to the tree!

Each year Kevin and me go to the Bryant Park Holiday Market shops and pick out an ornament to customize together. Since this year weโ€™re in our new place we had to get a front door ornament. I love this tradition weโ€™ve done for over 7 years now!

Barefoot Dreams Throw Blanket  Super cozy and soft a favorite of mine and any guest that visits us! Makes a great house warming gift, along with the marble coasters.

Fur Throw / a heavier one that is so soft on each side from Pottery Barn. It washes and wears so well and is on major sale!

Table Tray / Homegoods (old) loving this option too

If you have any questions about any of the items or thereโ€™s something missing let me know! I would love to have your thoughts so I can re work our decor for next Christmas. Wishing everyone a restful holiday season and merry wishes for a healthy and memorable 2019!

Sweater Dress in the Snow

FullSizeRender.jpg

One of my favorite winter combinations this season has been comfortable warm sweater dresses with boots. I slipped on my favorite vintage coat from my great grandmother for these photos and just love how soft the cashmere is! I thought I would share a few over coat options that are long enough to cover you in the cold weather with warmth but without being bulky!

Thereโ€™s so many different weights and textures for a sweater dress and they all pair well with or without leggings/ tights and so many shoe styles. Anything that can be versatile and fashionable Iโ€™m down for. I love pairing them with over the knee boots (hello easy way to avoid stockings and elongate your legs!) Iโ€™ve honestly never really been a fan of tights ever since a kid actually, except for dance rehearsals. But I know they can make some outfits look so well put together! Some things you never grow out of โ€ฆor into :)

I found this Caslon one Iโ€™m wearing from Nordstrom when it was on sale. Itโ€™s only available in plus size right now, but it happened to be a great length that could be casual for work or dressed up for after without being too short or tight. I highly recommend it and have shared a ton of other options below. This new B.P mock neck sweater dress is a favorite I may have to get for the holidays. I love the red color and would probably pair it with leopard booties.

My hoop earrings are festive & fun too. This pair has a cute texture on the balls and a great gold without looking cheap. They arenโ€™t heavy either. I have super thin ears, like I have scars on one from them ripping over the years so I canโ€™t wear anything heavy and these are fine!

Iโ€™ve shared all product details in the widgets below or check out my shop style account for more direct links to all my outfit details!

Holiday Card Photos 2018

IMG_0029.JPG

December is finally here and I cannot believe how fast it arrived ! Weโ€™ve been decking just about every corner of our new little space for the holiday season and itโ€™s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Itโ€™s fun decorating a new space and we wanted it to feel extra cozy. So Iโ€™ll be sharing the finishing touches on here soon.

Over the weekend Kevin and I had our wonderful friend stop by to help us with our idea for our holiday card. Weโ€™ve been sending one out every year since we moved to NYC and look forward to receiving all the mail this month from family & friends. I usually designate a little spot to hang the cards now that most are photos cards ! This year we knew we wanted to not just incorporate a holiday theme but also as a life update. At first I was going to do this right away, but then held off.

Kevin thinks weโ€™re probably the last people on earth mailing holiday or new year cards, but I disagree! I look forward to coming up with what weโ€™ll do each year. This year was a little more close to home, but in the past weโ€™ve found some great spots around the city for our photos. This is ours from last year as we celebrated our first married Christmas!

IMG_1498.JPG

This year the front of our card will be more traditional and the back is playful as our โ€œwe movedโ€ announcement.

We created our photos through Shutterfly and Iโ€™ve been pleased with them in years passed and their shipping is free and arrives fast. They always have a great special going on and if you need a promo code, use this one for 50% off or a free 8x8โ€ photo book! CODE: X4DU-A7Y8-R28G-KMCJGX. Minted is also another great spot for cards!

Iโ€™ve shared mine and Kevinโ€™s outfit details in the widget below.

Hope everyoneโ€™s December is off to a great start!
