This past week my husband and I flew to Cali for my spring break and spent it with family just in time for Easter. It was such a refreshing change to get in some sun and be without a coat! It's amazing what a little vitamin D can do for my mood and motivation! So over the winter blues. I'm so ready for shorts weather, now if only it would start feeling like spring in NYC!

While on our trip we made a bunch of day trips and we traveled back to Carmel by the Sea and Monterey to spend the night on the coast. This is one of my favorite spots, I just love the boutiques and quaint homes leading the way to the beach! I was smitten with all of the galleries and shops throughout the small beach town and this time of year it wasn't crowded so it felt relaxing and was quiet. The different climates in Cali can be so confusing and by evening on the water it would get cool. Before dinner we walked to the beach for the sunset then had some delicious gnocchi at an amazing Italian spot that felt like your grandmother's old home. It was called Casanova's and came highly recommended. If you're ever in the area, make a dinner reservation and enjoy the wine from the region! Monterey has some of the best around and there's plenty of places to stop in for tastings.

My top has been selling out super fast since it was marked down so I've got a roundup or similar options in the widget below you can click through. I've also found similar bags to my sold out option here and this one is on sale for an additional 25% off!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Ruffled Sleeve Sweater & Fall Sale Booties

My booties are Dolce Vita and currently on sale with the veterans weekend sale taking place and wonโ€™t last long! They're less than $90 at Lord & Taylor with an additional 20% off!

They fit true to size, and do take some time breaking in for the fact theyโ€™re a pointy toe. However, totally worth it because the suede pairs perfectly with skirts and dresses for a casual look. I do have narrow feet so maybe not as comfortable for wide width feet.

I found this Cynthia Rowley sweater at TJ Max and it also would work well for tucking into a skirt since itโ€™s not super long in length like I usually wear my sweaters. I've been shopping online and it's less overwhelming than going through the craziness of racks and those long lines. Has anyone else tried this yet?

This sweater is a super soft turtle neck and not itchy at all ! Iโ€™ve linked very similar styles that would pair well with pants or skirts. My leopard print clutch is a leather version from Italy and folds over. I'm listing similar finds at different price points below.

Happy fall sales weekend! Nordstrom's weekend sale ends this evening so check it out while it's on, they're price matching and many styles are on sale up to 40% off.

Plaid at the Pumpkin Farm

It's always an adventure to escape NYC and get the breath of fresh air (literally!) even if it's just an hour outside the city. This past weekend I headed to two different orchards that has become a tradition for my fiancรฉ and I for 5 years now. We usually go the end of September for the apple picking to get the best selection and beat the crowds. Since we traveled and had so many weddings then inclement weather we took advantage of a great sunny weekend in October instead. Oh my! The spot that felt like our special place has quickly turned into a go to spot since it's so close to the city. It was crowded!  We still enjoyed the spectacular landscape and took part in all the fall fest adventures there were to offer at Harvest Moon & Outhouse Orchards. I've already made two fresh apple crisps and got to adding more pumpkin dรฉcor around our space.

I wore a very casual layered outfit with the softest plaid shirt. The Hunter rain boots are always a good investment for the rainy, muddy, and soon to be snow days in and out of city living. I definitely recommend them!
