Plum in the Botanical Gardens

Recently I finally made it to the New York Botanical Gardens to see an incredible exhibit by one of my favorite artists, Dale Chihuly! The glasswork throughout the grounds of the garden were extraordinary and the perfect way to spend an afternoon during this fall. I had been wanting to make it to the installation for a while and loved taking a walk throughout the forest to see the changing leaves. It was breathtaking!

I am obsessed with these jeans, they're super stretchy and have the cutest detailing near the pockets of jewels and pearls. For all the tall girls out there, they come in tall and fit true to size. I've added this purple sweater to my fall wardrobe because I tend to go more toward neutrals so this fall color was perfect, and I really like the neckline. All details on my look are linked below. I had actually found this sweater at Marshall's at a great price point. There's been some really great finds there this season if you really take the time to look through.

Lightweight Fall Look

I recently adventured upstate to visit family for a quick weekend trip and take in all the fall foliage and festivities that I definitely don’t get enough of in the city. My favorite is taking the train and seeing all of the leaves changing color along the way.  Since it was unseasonably warmer than usual it was perfect for walking around some of my favorite sites and enjoying Buffalo wings over some football! I realize how I totally miss being a kid going on trips to the pumpkin patch and walking through corn mazes fearful of being lost forever! 

This sweater is super soft and not too heavy for the transition to fall and could easily be layered because of the flutter sleeve detailing. Oatmeal is a favorite neutral, and I got it 40% off!

My denim is old but so comfy, linking similar finds at great price points because I never invest in light denim, since I usually wear darker washes from fall into winter. Credit for the pop of orange goes to my nana for letting me borrow her purse. I think it’s Michael Kors and it is a great size. My grandparents decorate so perfect for the fall and their porch was really photo worthy, I just love it! Every year they have the cutest Halloween decorations inside and out.

Winter Sweater in the Catskills

On a recent wintery weekend an amazing friend arranged a much needed weekend winter getaway into the Catskill Mountains a few weekends ago at Foxfire Mountain House. This spot is a fairly new rustic inn tucked away in the Catskill area. The house we stayed in was decorated with so many details that I could've moved right in and left the city behind for a bit. This spot was the perfect quiet escape for a few days. We spent the weekend at the ski resort close by and then returned back to the house to cook dinners and enjoy the fire with our friends.  How I miss having a real wood burning fireplace! Definitely check it out, they also host small outdoor weddings in the spring and summer.  During our stay the main inn was hosting a bridal photography event. I can see why! So many places for shooting phenomenal photos, indoor and out.  We had to take advantage of it all. More photos and details from this weekend to come!
