DRESS Bardot  Half off right now! Has a gorgeous criss cross and open back too! The dress fits true to size and the velvet is super soft and lined well. Definitely a great length for tall figures (I’m 5’10” ) so it may be more tea length on shorter heights.

I also found it available in a royal navy at Nordstrom.  I love these wine and black options that are similar.

Then this blue velvet is different too! All perfect for a winter holiday party. Throwing a faux fur on top would also tie it all together.

SHOES: Calvin Klein (unavailable) similar styles with simple details here and studded version here

EVENING BAG: Mine was my husband's grandmother's. Gorgeous gold options like this Tory Burch cross body and this clutch I love for the holiday party season.

Pearl Heel Boots

I always love footwear that have a little extra something. These boots are definitely it and are at an incredible price point. I found these boots at TJMaxx and I recommend sizing up a half to whole size. They definitely aren’t the most comfortable boot or high quality but they’re a great dupe for some other brands. These are great for the holiday season or to just dress up your casual look. If you’re like me and usually wear a lot of black or dark clothing during the winter months these are a cute extra detail.

These were only $39! And I’m sharing some others at different ranges of pricing and heel heights.

Hope everyone is ready for a restful Thanksgiving with friends and family this week!

Versatile Booties

I’m sharing three of my most versatile booties that I recently purchased to get me through this fall and the start to winter. It had been a while since I invested in some new boots. Honestly, I’m pretty picky because with the amount of walking I do throughout  NYC each pair needs to be able to transition from day to night and stand some wear and tear . Most importantly, they must be comfortable and last for at least two seasons!

Keeping my boots from my students paint splatters is a whole other dilemma and I finally rotated some of them that I could wear to work on days such as those or change into  (note to self- don’t wear suede to work on painting days ! )

This season there have been so many sales and promotions on footwear from all the major retailers that there’s no sense in paying full price. These three will go with pretty much any outfit and are a low enough heel that walking or standing for a while stand the  test of time.

I’ve also listed similar styles that I’m loving right now or also have tried from a range of brands and price points.

Leopard Booties:  A New Day (from Target I didn’t want to invest in something that could go out of style or I wouldn’t wear as frequently. These are fun and comfortable. I sized up a half size so I can wear a thicker sock in winter months. You could also go true to size. The material is a velvet like texture.

Brown Leather Booties: Sam Edelman  currently on sale with an additional 20% off!Hands down always the most comfortable brand of shoes and boots that last because of their comfort and quality! They’re addicting! The heel is just enough and the color is a gorgeous soft leather.

Black Suede Booties: Dolce Vita love the pointed toe and the lower heel that pairs well with pants or skirts and dresses. I'm also loving the heel details on this grey pair The leopard style with a pointy toe are gorgeous and on sale! Fit is true to size.

I love this Marc Fisher style with the rich looking toe area. These always seem to sell out fast since they're so similar for the higher priced Acne Studio Jenson boot.
