Winter Coat & Boot Roundup

Happy New Year everyone! 2017 was one of the best years for me in a while, I was married in August and celebrated throughout the year leading up to the big day with generous and thoughtful friends and family. Surrounded by love all year through and holding onto that into 2018. I can't wait to see what it has in store for us as newly weds both personally and professionally!

Now that we're back into the swing of refreshing ourselves for the new year and past the holidays I thought I'd share some amazing winter wear items as we continue to brave the coldest months of winter. Many of the pieces I've used year after year and they last! I love the longer length of a winter coat to combat the wind and cover my legs, since I freeze easily ( I swear I was not built for living in cold places!) My coat has gotten me through my third season in New York and just taking care of it with routine cleanings help.  It's down so here and there I shed some feathers so next year may be time for a replacement. I always search the end of season sales for something I can keep in my closet for the next winter as an investment.

Holiday Style Guide

I cant believe Christmas is just 5 days away! Im loving so many of the metallic looks this season and itโ€™s a great time to get a little more glamorous and even wear some sequins ?! Ok maybe, but thatโ€™s wrong with sequins as we bring in a New Year?!

My metallic skirt is the perfect way to pair a more understated top or sweater.  It has the perfect amount of metallic shimmer and isn't too heavy with texture. I  love the quality. Iโ€™m sharing a few different options that could work paired together. I had actually purchased this outfit for our engagement photos last winter, as we were hoping for snowy photos...but the snow never came! So now I can wear it for this winter season holiday gatherings. I actually think this skirt would look perfect with a red turtle neck sweater. I usually don't wear red until this season so I take advantage of it while I can. I just find that the red usually reminds me of the holiday season or Valentine's Day. I know, I'm a little weird but color holds a lot of meaning for me.

I'm sharing some of my favorite holiday looks that can be worn to celebrate- no matter what the winter occasion.

I found a similar skirt option here and this one is a bit longer and this short fringe version is so fun! This would be a perfect option for New Years!

His and Hers Holiday Pajamas

Once the weather starts to get cold and the snow starts to fall it's time for cozy PJs  snuggled up by the tree for most of my December. Growing up in super cold Buffalo I was always freezing cold and still don't love it, but if I can find a way to feel as comfortable and warm as possible I'll brave it.

There's so so many cute and funny PJs available right now for the whole family and many styles on sale, which is perfect especially since the more holiday themed ones you'll only get to wear throughout December. I'm sharing some of my favorite ideas and have already shopped a ton of these for my family since they're perfect for the winter season and always appreciated.  I'm also sharing some slipper styles that could pair well with any of these styles.  My thermal PJs are always easy to throw on and come as a set from Victoria's Secret.  I've found so many more retailers carrying this type now along with sweatshirts that can be paired with any bottoms. Old Navy & Macy's have some great sale styles along with Nordstrom.
